THE COMPETITION

The F1 in Schools UK National Finals is an exhilarating competition that brings together talented students from across the nation, showcasing their engineering, design, and teamwork skills in a thrilling environment. Participants are tasked with creating a miniature Formula 1 car, which they then race against their peers, all while adhering to strict technical and design specifications. This unique event not only fosters a passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) but also encourages students to think critically and innovatively as they work collaboratively in teams to achieve success.

The atmosphere at the National Finals is electrifying, with schools competing for prestige and the chance to represent the UK on the world stage. Each team presents their project to a panel of judges, detailing their design process, along with the scientific principles behind their creations. The competition not only hones their technical abilities but also enhances essential soft skills, such as communication, project management, and problem-solving. As teams put their hard work and preparation to the test on the race track, the event serves as a celebration of youth ingenuity and determination, inspiring the next generation of engineers and innovators.
